The TV series, Battlestar Galactica, is over after four brilliant
seasons. I was always too curios about learning the end of it and the
truth behind. I ask myself what I did learn different then the misty
history, today, future and the fate of humankind. It is hard to answer
that. I can’t stop thinking that “all of this has happened before and
will happen again”. Although Admiral Adama was never Adam, Chief Galen
Tyrol did never move to the mountains of Tyrol or St. Gallen, Gaius was
never Jesus or the human-cylon-hybrid Hera was not the wife and older
sister of Zeus, the complex systems give us surprising outcomes once in a
while.
The end of Battlestar Galactica gives such a bad feeling
like you broke up with someone you love. You still love the person but
you know that you can’t be together anymore. For many people, it is
easier to stick to a religion/belief system than to stick to a
girl/boyfriend. The window in front of us contains a very blurry picture
when we talk about religion and philosophy, so we accept things without
much resistance. However the things, we believe that we can change, are
usually a good source of struggle. Likewise in Battlestar Galactica,
there was pretty much going on about politics, love, hate, power,
friendship, competition and so on…
“There must be some kind of way out of here
Said the joker to the thief
Theres too much confusion
I cant get no relief
Businessman they drink my wine
Plow men dig my earth
None will level on the line
Nobody of it is worth”
