Adam: You are late again! Morning!
Me : Good morning, Adam! I am sorry but it was too cold. I
couldn’t easily get out of bed.
Adam: You always have excuses!
Me : Well, I had a vaccination yesterday, my arm hurts too
much!
Adam: never-ending excuses, you see…
Me : Yeah, I see, I see… what will we talk about today?
Adam: Don’t remember? I was asking you why/how you can find 3,5 million
people boring.
Me : But they are really boring. You know, I don’t
know 3,5 million people here but the ones I know are uninteresting. Everyone
has a different path in life. Also, each person is on a different phase of this
journey. I don’t have any friends who are sort of in a similar phase.
Adam: I couldn’t understand what you mean! (when will you understand Adam, tell
me please)
Me : I will try to tell you that with a metaphor. At this
left end, there are people who accepted the common objectives of the society as
their personal goals. I’d like to call them Germans. Because they are as strict
as Germans. They live like they are going to exist at least 50-60 years on
earth. But who knows? They are more tomorrow-oriented. What means to them are
only good education, good career, good family etc. Their life stories are
pre-determined. No surprise! On the other end, there are people who live sort of
like Gypsies. Of course, they have more worries about tomorrow than Gypsies who
are too much today-oriented. The problem starts exactly here. I am moving in
between but always staying closer to Gypsies’ side. Because they are more fun
but not hedonists and more flexible at anything. (I know, Adam. You are
standing on the other end. So there is no way that you can understand me.
You may be sorry for me. You are no different than others. That’s why, I find
you boring as well.)
